The Arts Society Cavendish (ASCavendish) is delighted to launch a new annual
Art Prize for students studying GCSE and A level Art at Buxton Community School.
The prize has been created to inspire and raise the aspirations of young people, to
support the school’s visual arts courses, and to provide a platform for students to
exhibit their work to a wider audience.
We are inviting our members to help us choose the winners of the new Buxton
Community School Prize.
Please take a moment to view the artwork and then nominate your favourite piece
by emailing the word “prize” followed by the picture number to
youngarts@artsocavendish.co.uk.
The winning student will receive £100, and two runners-up will each receive £50.
The prizes will be presented at our ASCavendish meeting in the new year.
